So spring is here and so is the first in our herbal tea range! Being tea lovers and we have sampled our own herbal blends for a while. This prompted us to experiment with a variety of herbal diffusions and finesse the ones we really like. While we love our black tea, our delicately infused herbal tea drinks are so lovely, we just had
Jasmine White London Herbal Chai tea blend, combining specially selected aromatic and healing herbal spices
to introduce them to our Jasmine White London family and fans. Not only are these an absolute delight to the palate, our herbal teas combine healing properties so one may indulge oneself and benefit from said indulgence. The beauty of our herbal tea range is that we have gone with the ones we have tried and tested and then have them blended especially for their healing properties and aroma.
If you are a tea connoisseur, you will enjoy our herbal teas starting with our Herbal Chai Tea blend. Made with a curated balance of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom and anise especially to our recipe, the Jasmine White London Herbal Chai Tea blend tastes delicious with milk or plant based milk as a Herbal Chai tea latte. Combined with black tea this makes a delicious herbal chai tea. You can sweeten this with honey or any sweetener you like.

We visited the holy town of Rishikesh in the Himalayan foothills which is spiritually tranquil and also full of visiting tourists. It has popular adventure camps and is also one of the well known destinations for Yoga in India. Being a Hatha Yoga student, this was of particular interest. The relative coolness of the weather in the Himalayas was a welcome break from the 40deg C heat earlier. Rishikesh being a spiritual destination, the prayers in the evenings on the Ghats of the river are a must see, and very inspiring.

Its lovely to see the Royal Tourof India going so well-it looks like it is with sheer delight that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken to the bright and beautiful country that is India if the images on BBC News/Daily Mail/Hello Magazine/NDTV/Tatler are anything to go by!
We love this picture of the Duchess in the hand block print dress in Tatler the best! (Photos of the Duchess Courtesy Tatler)
You can see more pictures of their tour on BBC News here
The first day of the Royals Tour in India didn’t just involve floral garlands and meeting celebrities from Bollywood, but also visiting the site of the Mumbai attacks in 2008 including the famous Taj Mahal Hotel.
What caught our eye most, and we can’t help it, is the beautiful array of dresses worn by the Duchess, including the lovely hand block printed dress which we think is very elegant. Its in keeping with our ethos of an ‘artisanal chic‘ lifestyle-which is true of Jasmine White London product ranges-both homeware and attire which promotes ethical production values and allows rural communities to survive. We recently launched new designs in Ikat and Hand Block prints, the Gaia, Freya and Laxmi range and are delighted to see some similar designs on the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
Our hand block print range is coming soon…so email us if you would like to reserve any items before they arrive on enquiries@jasminewhitelondon.com
We launched our Christmas range exclusively at Harrods earlier this autumn including decorations. It has been a lovely project designing and supplying to the UK’s most reputable department store Harrods. We produced it as an exclusive Christmas product for Harrods using our Red Floral Splash fabric and we are delighted that it is now available on their website and in the Christmas shop.
The stocking comes with a quilted effect all over enhancing its durability in purest cotton with contrasting navy pom pom trim which has already been very popular. To buy it here, click the stocking! You can also get a matching pressie sack.
We also supplied a range of our Christmas decorations. Beautifully hand-painted on papier mâché, this Jasmine White bauble features a traditional floral motif in an array of bright, eye-catching colours. Trimmed with a gold string and red tassel detailing, it will make a charming finish to any Christmas tree. Click on the baubles to buy on the Harrods website.
We had a lovely email from a customer who loves using our hand painted enamelware. She was at home with her brother being looked after, as their mummy was out and about. As a treat, they made a luxurious hot chocolate with all the trimmings! This includes whipped cream & marshmallows on top of a lot of milky hot chocolate all in the popular green enamelware mugs.
They sent in a photo, with their story, which is just lovely. It certainly made our day. Chloe (AGE 7) also, kindly sent in the key ingredients to the yummy, luxurious, hot chocolate, in case you wish to make some yourself:
Hot chocolate
Whipped cream
Mini marshmallows
(All in the green mugs,)
Use spoon to help eat!
Thank you Chloe.
We love receiving your emails and messages so keep them coming!

This almost feels like a letter to those of you who read this blog post. We are very deeply affected by the tragic consequences of the earthquake in Nepal on 25 April 2015. As the news keeps coming in of increasing loss of lives, the number has increased to almost 5,000, and it is still being counted.
The earthquake not only shook Nepal but neighbouring India as well. This is the land we consider almost our own due to our shared culture and open border. Our stories are similar and growing up we hear tales of brave Nepali people: of Sherpas and Gurkhas and all Nepalis, affectionately called ‘Kanchas’ (boys) and ‘Kanchis’ (girls) and their kukhri (Nepali dagger) wielding ways and their oh so charming smiles.

When I last visited Nepal years ago in 1996, I was a student and saw the beauty of the mountain kingdom with romantic eyes. Kathmandu was a site to behold, its beautiful Thamel district appeared a calmer version of various parts of India. Nestled in the Himalayas, Pokhara and Kathmandu cast a spell on us that remains to this day. We made friends in these places we hope to go back and meet again. I have been planning to revisit the beautiful land of brave people with my children so they may see the magic of this land firsthand and hopefully carry beautiful memories of it too.

However, with tragedy unfolding in the wake of the earthquake and numerous stories of personal loss still coming in, we know in our hearts that the immediate need is to help in the aftermath of this tragedy. We would like to do our bit to help in whatever way possible. Therefore we have decided to donate proceeds of sales of the Indian Street range to various charities trying to coordinate and help in the rescue and rehabilitation efforts in Nepal. We plan to keep supporting them through this for the foreseeable future.

Its been a busy summer for us at Jasmine White London HQ. We’ve been exhibiting at various shows, starting off with Windsor Horse Trials at the Royal Windsor Race Course, and followed that with amongst others, Home and Gift at Harrogate. We introduced new products such as hob covers in our design ranges, with Stars and Birds of Paradise flying off shelves since launch, including our lovely egg cosy at the request of our ‘little’ Jasmine White fans, my two boys. So now we have egg cosies on offer in not only the Birds of Paradise design and Stars but also our Indian Street range as, surprise, surprise, the boys love the ‘tuk tuks’/autorikshaws and trucks printed all over them.
We’ve also been exploring a variety of new designs and getting inspired by the vibrancy of colour, which as most of you will know by now is something we enjoy working with. Given the lovely sunshine we were lucky to get this summer, its not hard to see why either!
We are now introducing our beautiful new Bright Red with Floral Splash and Duck Egg Iris pattern in fabric. As the demand for our fabric is now growing we are happy to announce that we are able to supply our customers with our fabric.
These are the designs we are adapting to fabrics:

Our Running Stags in Grey caught the imagination of some of our lovely customers at Home and Gift and as a result, our new linen fabric is now on its way to being made into something lovely-watch this space.
We are expanding our accessories this Autumn and hence there are a few more items in your favourite designs, just in time to help with the Christmas season..These will be on our website soon.
Keep an eye out for the Fairs we will be attending, we’ve got a back to back schedule over the Winter months.
